AI Country Music (aicountrymusic.nl) is operated by David van Coolwijk, trading as Boot Scoot Media, KVK 90776356. This page explains what data this site collects, how it's used, and what third-party services are linked from it.
What this site currently collects
This site does not use tracking cookies, does not run advertising scripts, and and never requires an account to listen. What it does use:
- Local storage on your own device — used only to remember your own preferences on this device, such as your language choice, volume and equalizer settings, the playlists and liked songs you make, and which songs you have already seen. This information stays on your device; it is never sent to or stored on our servers, and it isn't used to track you across sites.
- Standard server logs — like virtually all websites, the hosting server may log basic technical information (such as IP address and browser type) for security and troubleshooting purposes, in line with standard hosting practice.
If you create an account
An account is optional; you only need one to keep your playlists on more than one device. If you create one, we store:
- Your email address — to sign you in and, only when you ask for it, to send a password reset link.
- Your password — stored only in scrambled (hashed) form. We can't read it.
- Your playlists, liked songs and player settings — which songs are in them, plus your language, volume and equalizer, and which songs you have already seen (so the player can show what's new).
- A sign-in cookie — a random code that keeps you signed in on a device for up to 90 days. It's removed when you sign out.
- Failed sign-in attempts — kept for at most a day, with the IP address stored only as a one-way hash, to stop people guessing passwords.
This is used for nothing else: no newsletters, no profiling, and it's never sold or shared. It's stored in the site's own database with its hosting provider. The legal basis is providing the feature you asked for. You can delete your account at any time in the account window in the player; that removes your email address, password and playlists straight away.
Google Search Console
This site is registered with Google Search Console, which allows Google to report how the site performs in search results. This does not place any tracking script or cookie on the site itself — it only reflects data Google already collects through normal web crawling and search activity.
Future advertising or analytics
If this site adds advertising (such as Google AdSense) or analytics tools in the future, those services typically use cookies to function. Should that happen, this page will be updated accordingly, and a consent banner will ask for your permission before any such cookies are set — consistent with EU/Dutch privacy law (AVG/GDPR).
Third-party links
This site links out to third-party services, including Spotify and Facebook. Each of these operates under its own privacy policy, which we encourage you to review separately — we have no control over how these third parties handle your data once you leave our site.
Your rights
Under the Dutch/EU AVG (GDPR), you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of any personal data held about you. Given how little personal data this site actually processes (see above), there is generally very little to request — but if you have questions or concerns, you're welcome to reach out through any of the contact links on this site.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as the site evolves — for example, if advertising, analytics, or new features that process personal data are added. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version.
