This page explains, specifically, what is and isn't stored on your device when you visit aicountrymusic.nl. For the full picture of how this site handles data in general, see the Privacy Policy.
This site does not use tracking cookies
No advertising cookies, no analytics cookies, no third-party tracking pixels. Nothing on this site follows you across other websites.
What is stored, and why
- Language preference — whether you last viewed the site in English or Dutch, so it doesn't reset every time you visit.
- Player preferences — small settings like your volume and equalizer position.
- Your playlists and liked songs — the playlists you make, the songs you have hearted, and which songs you have already seen, so the player can show what’s new since your last visit. They exist only in this browser; clearing your site data deletes them.
- Sign-in cookie — only if you create an account and sign in: a random code that keeps you signed in on this device for up to 90 days. Signing out removes it. This one is a real cookie, and it's strictly functional.
- Cookie consent choice — whether you've clicked "Accept" or "Decline" on the banner, so we don't ask again every visit.
Technically, these are stored using your browser's local storage, not traditional cookies — but they serve a similar purpose (remembering something about your visit), so we treat them the same way for transparency. None of this data is sent to our servers or shared with anyone; it stays on your own device.
Managing or clearing this data
You can clear this at any time through your browser's settings (usually under "Clear browsing data" → "Cookies and site data," or similar, depending on your browser). Clearing it just means your preferences reset to default the next time you visit — nothing is lost beyond that.
If that ever changes
If this site adds advertising or analytics tools in the future that do use tracking cookies, this page will be updated to reflect exactly what's added, and the consent banner will ask for your permission first — in line with EU/Dutch privacy law (AVG/GDPR).
